Temporarily tern off all subscriptions suggestion

Hi.
I think it would be good if we could tern of temporarily our subscriptions to topicks when we go away or something otherwise our inbox might get full of emails about new posts.
Then they could be terned on again the next time we logg in to the site or when we change it from the account settings.
So what do you all think of this suggestion?

i had a similar idea for person watch, those messages can fill an inbox very quickly...
